John Loveridge, the mega rich Olive Oil magnate from Lincoln walked away from Balmacewan Golf course in Dunedin a happy man after winning Woodpecker VI in the closest finish in tournament history.

Day one – St Clair

John Loveridge, Simon Kerr and Mark Johnson set the early pace with Loveridge one shot ahead heading into day two. Many of the big name players failed to fire a shot and the question on everyone’s lips was “Will we see the 1st ever debutante winner?”and if so, “What the fark are the Handicapping Committee playing at?”
